Description
Tesfai Tekle, MD, earned his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in 2007. He then went to Tulane School of Medicine to complete his Internal Medicine residency in 2010. After serving for 15 years as a hospitalist, Dr. Tekle completed a transplant Hepatology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 2022 followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at Tulane in 2025. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025. Now, as a board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Tekle sees patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal concerns, including rectal bleeding, difficulty swallowing, heartburn, and more. He also provides cancer screenings such as colonoscopies and has a special interest in gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.
